About Us

   Redefining Training

Kairos Training & Development was created to help organisations move beyond “tick-box” workshops. We believe training should do more than fill a room; it should unlock clearer thinking, stronger leadership and everyday behaviours that improve how people work together, serve communities and solve real problems.

Rooted in KwaZulu-Natal and working across South Africa, we design programmes that connect directly to live projects, classrooms and service challenges. Our facilitators bring experience from education, campaigns, public service and organisational change, translating complex ideas into simple, repeatable practices that teams can own.

The Thinking Behind Our Training

Kairos Training & the Kairos Engine

Kairos Training & Development is part of the wider Kairos Media Group – a communications and learning engine that supports campaigns, education projects and organisational change. This means our training is always grounded in real delivery: communication, service, reporting, stakeholder engagement and leadership in complex environments.

For our partners, that means:

1. Programmes aligned to real outcomes, not abstract theory fossil

2. Tools, templates and checklists that staff can reuse long after the workshop

3. Training that supports communication, reporting and change projects already in motion

4. Confidence that learning is joined up with strategy, not running on a separate track

DR BRIAN NAIDOO
Founder and CEO

Dr Brian Naidoo is the CEO of Kairos Training & Development. A leadership coach, educator and communication strategist, he has spent his career helping organisations navigate change, build capable teams and turn big ideas into practical action on the ground.

Drawing on experience in education, public service, civil society and media, Brian designs programmes that are both thought-provoking and deeply practical. His work bridges leadership theory, systems thinking and everyday tools that managers and teams can use to plan better, communicate clearly and stay accountable.

Known for his ability to listen, simplify and challenge teams to grow, Brian leads Kairos Training & Development with a focus on integrity, collaboration and tangible results. Under his leadership, the organisation partners with schools, NGOs, municipalities, campaigns and businesses to build learning cultures that last.

The future of training is not in events, it is in habits. When thinking, tools and accountability come together, learning becomes more than a workshop. It becomes the way an organisation works.

Frequently Asked Questions

We know that choosing a training partner is about more than course titles. It is about relevance, follow-through and trust. Here are some of the most common questions organisations ask when they first meet Kairos Training & Development:

Yes. We start with your reality – your teams, your projects and your pressure points. We map what is already working, identify gaps and then design a programme that fits your context, time and budget. Examples, case studies and tools are all localised so people recognise their own work in the training.

We offer both. Some programmes are short, non-accredited interventions focused on quick wins and specific skills. Others can be aligned with accredited pathways where this supports your strategy. We will discuss your needs and recommend the blend that makes the most sense for your organisation.

Yes. We work with teams in multiple provinces through a mix of in-person workshops, online sessions and low-data support (such as WhatsApp and simple PDFs). We can train core groups centrally and then support them to roll out learning to their own teams on the ground.
